I’m Venkata Rayala — Senior Salesforce Architect and enterprise technology leader based in Chicago, IL.

I’ve spent 13+ years building enterprise Salesforce platforms across large financial services organizations, including leading the Salesforce Center of Excellence at Northern Trust, one of the world’s largest wealth management firms. My work sits at the intersection of technology and business outcomes — building the governance frameworks, architecture standards, and delivery practices that make complex platforms run well at scale.

I write about enterprise Salesforce architecture, AI adoption and governance, platform health, and what it actually takes to build technology foundations that last. Everything here comes from real experience — not theory.

I recently took Agentforce from proof of concept through enterprise governance approval and into full production launch, and introduced a context document process that changed how our engineering team uses AI tools. These experiences shaped how I think about the relationship between AI and architecture — and most of what I write about here.

When I’m not thinking about platforms and governance, I’m a devotional artist working in the Kerala mural tradition, a father of two, and a proud resident of Hawthorn Woods, IL.
